Noted investor and producer Rakesh Jhunjhunwala left for his heavenly abode at the age of 62. On Sunday morning, he passed away in Mumbai. His sudden demise came as a huge shock to the entire Indian business world. Rakesh-the founder of the recently-launched Akasa Air had bankrolled many Bollywood films like Sridevi starred 'English Vinglish', Shamitabh, and Arjun Kapoor’s Ki & Ka. Soon after the heartbreaking news of Jhunjhunwala's death broke out, rich tributes poured in from many noted personalities.

PM Narendra Modi offered his condolences to his family and called him an 'indomitable force'. Modi also branded Rakesh a 'witty person full of life.' Sharing his picture with him, PM tweeted, “Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was indomitable. Full of life, witty and insightful, he leaves behind an indelible contribution to the financial world. He was also very passionate about India’s progress. His passing away is saddening. My condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”







Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajnath Singh, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, and other eminent leaders also paid their heartfelt tributes to Rakesh Jhunjhunwala on Twitter. The Home Minister wrote, “Anguished to learn about the passing away of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Ji. His vast experience and understanding of the stock market have inspired countless investors. He will always be remembered for his bullish outlook. My deepest condolences to his family. Om Shanti Shanti.”

As per reports, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was declared brought dead by doctors in a Mumbai hospital. The case of his death is yet to be revealed. It is being said that he suffered from a kidney-related ailment in the past.

Rakesh is survived by his wife Rekha and two kids.
